Postcards promote voting
Volunteers who want to support the effort to turn out the Democratic vote in Lake of the Woods will have an opportunity from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the Trophy Room in the Woods Building.
Hundreds of hand-written postcards are being written and mailed to residents encouraging them to vote in the Nov. 5 election. Many of them were prepared at a club meeting on Oct. 10, but there are still many left to be written and mailed.
The club has purchased more than 1,000 postcards printed with the message, “Freedom, Hope, Progress for Lake of the Woods.” They are being sent to friends and neighbors throughout the neighborhood.
